The AdaptStor Optical Jukebox System ISO features ISO standard
4x technology and stores 2.6 GB of data on a 5.25" cartridge. AdaptStor
6970 is the most cost-effective way to archive large amounts of information
with instantaneous access capability.
Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM)
AdaptStor 6970 utilizes Hitachi Optical Control software to
dynamically manage and administer data. Frequently accessed files are stored
on a high-performance RAID sub-system, while less-used information is migrated
to more economical optical jukebox storage. This integrated systems approach
keeps average access speed of integrated image, document, video and voice
data near that of magnetic disk for network users.
